Red Door was founded in a farmer’s field in Chelsea, Quebec in 2012. At the time, our exclusive focus was on our seasonal handmade, micro batch jams, marmalades, and pickles. These provisions quickly garnered loyal followers at makers’ markets, local retail shops, restaurants and bars, and soon required their own space in which to be showcased.

Red Door coffeeshop was soon built in a small, cozy space in the New Edinburgh neighbourhood of Ottawa, Ontario.

In our tiny 650 square foot coffeeshop, our baristas run a thoughtful specialty coffee program featuring a rotating roster of Canadian roasters including Pilot Coffee Roasters, Dispatch, ZAB, Rosso, Phil & Sebastian, De Mello Palheta Coffee Roasters, Little Victories, Anchored, Detour, Transcend, and more.

Our small batch pastry program is lovingly curated by our team of bakers and rotates on a daily basis, with new menus releasing each month.

Our preserves remain a staple on our shelves, and are joined by other Canadian small batch producers including Top Shelf Preserves, Manning Canning, Alska Farm, Stasis Preserves, Juniper Farm, and more.

We offer a fresh, diverse selection of café breakfast and lunch options, including our beloved grilled cheese sandwiches. We are proud to offer a small craft beer and wine program, featuring producers like Dominion City Brewing, Collective Arts, Stalwart Brewing, Tawse Winery, Hinterland, and more.
