French Press at Red Door

Our French press program is up and running! Pop in to sample our choice picks of the month. For the month of February, we are brewing Pilot's Ecuadorian Hakuna Matata. Pilot describes it as follows:

"We are thrilled to be offering this coffee again after it knocked our socks off last year. The unique microclimate in the Nanegal region allows Verena Blaser and Henry Gaibor to harvest coffee nearly year round. The coffee that results is truly unique, displaying such intense complexity, sweetness and acidity characteristic of much higher-grown coffee. The plants constantly flower due to the mist in the air, and great effort is spent on weeding, pre-emptive treating for leaf rust and berry borer, and selective picking done by pickers paid twice as much as the national average. All coffee is pulped on site and dried on raised beds.
